Contents of Experimentation Kit #2

Experimentation Kit #2 allows you to compare different gauges of electromagnet wire and experiment how different wire diameters affect the performance of the motors. These experiments can be performed with all of the motors.

All of the kits usually include a spool of 27 gauge magnet wire. This kit adds two more spools for comparison: 25 (thick) and 29 (thin) gauges. Each of the spools has 50-60 ft of insulated magnet wire.

This kit includes 2 nails with the tape to make 2 extra electromagnets. It also includes an inner stand, which allows easy replacement of the electromagnets in all kits without breaking the electromagnet stand off the board.

It is a good idea to use a multimeter to compare the electrical parameters of the coils, such as a consumed current. A good digital multimeter is available as a separate part and included in experimentation kit #3.
